London-based financial services platform Tide is set to launch in Germany, extending its suite of offerings to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe’s largest economy.
Tide, renowned for its array of financial management tools and bespoke business banking solutions tailored to SMEs, is poised to officially introduce its German application in the coming months.
This expansion comes on the heels of Tide’s successful foray into the Indian market back in 2022.
Oliver Prill, CEO of Tide, emphasized the significance of this expansion, highlighting the pivotal role of small businesses in both the UK and German economies.
“Our success in the UK has been built on having a deep understanding of the pain points of small businesses, the self-employed, and freelancers,” Prill stated, underlining Tide’s commitment to addressing the evolving needs of SMEs globally.
With a robust customer base exceeding 575,000 SMEs in the UK alone, Tide has solidified its position as a leading financial platform for businesses.
The expansion into Germany underscores Tide’s ambition to emerge as the premier international financial solution provider for SMEs worldwide.
Chris Barton, HM Trade Commissioner for Europe, lauded Tide’s entry into the German market, citing the company’s remarkable success story in the UK.
Barton emphasized Tide’s invaluable role in empowering hundreds of thousands of small businesses with efficient financial management solutions.
Tide’s expansion into Germany follows its strategic acquisition of lending marketplace company Funding Options in October 2022, further bolstering its
portfolio of services aimed at supporting SMEs throughout their financial journey.
Founded in 2015 by George Bevis, Tide has steadily expanded its global footprint, with offices now spanning across Bulgaria, India, and the UK.
As Tide sets its sights on the German market, it reaffirms its commitment to revolutionizing financial services for SMEs, solidifying its position as a beacon of innovation and support for businesses worldwide.
