Barclays Bank has spearheaded a £4 million investment into WealthOS, a burgeoning wealth management infrastructure platform based in London.

This funding marks a pivotal moment for WealthOS as it seeks to solidify its position in the digital wealth management market and expand its client base.

The recent investment round, concluded in late 2023, witnessed Barclays and notable angel investors, including Chris Adelsbach and Mike O’Brien, contributing £2 million.

The remaining £2 million was secured from Main Set, an arm of the investment firm Capricorn Capital Partners UK.

WealthOS, established in 2019, specializes in creating off-the-shelf software solutions for companies offering digital wealth management services.

The platform has already attracted significant attention, recently being selected by Quai Digital, a white-label B2B wealth management provider, as a strategic technology partner.

With this fresh influx of capital, WealthOS aims to bolster its capabilities and cater to a growing client pipeline.

“I am excited to demonstrate to the market how we will not only enable organizations to offer incredible, omni-channel wealth management products to clients, but to do so at high speed and with cost efficiency,” said Anton Padmasiri, CEO and founder of WealthOS.

This funding round is a significant leap from the $800,000 seed funding WealthOS raised in 2021, reflecting the company’s rapid growth and the increasing demand for digital solutions in the wealth management sector.

Andrew Challis, co-head of principal investments at Barclays, expressed confidence in WealthOS’s potential.

“WealthOS has an impressive proposition in the digital wealth management space,”

Challis said.

“I look forward to seeing their future endeavors coming to fruition, celebrating new milestones, and seeing our return on investment.”

The strategic partnership with Quai Digital and the substantial backing from industry giants like Barclays underscores WealthOS’s potential to revolutionize the wealth management industry by providing efficient and scalable digital solutions.

WealthOS is a London-headquartered startup developing off-the-shelf software for digital wealth management. Founded in 2019, the company aims to provide scalable and cost-effective solutions for companies in the wealth management industry.
