AI video startup Synthesia has raised $200 million in new funding led by Alphabet’s venture arm GV, boosting its valuation to $4 billion, nearly double what it was earlier this year.

Founded in London in 2017, the company helps major corporations like DuPont, Xerox, and Spirit Airlines turn training and communication materials into realistic, multilingual AI videos, cutting production costs and time dramatically.

Unlike consumer-focused rivals such as HeyGen and OpenAI’s Sora, Synthesia targets enterprise communication, emphasizing realism and brand consistency. Reports say Adobe even considered a $3 billion acquisition earlier this year.

With its new funding, Synthesia plans to expand into marketing and internal communications, as global demand for AI-generated business video continues to surge.
