Clean growth fund secures £49m for second climate-tech vehicle

Backed by repeat investor Strathclyde Pension Fund and new commitments from Islington and East Riding pension schemes, the raise comes amid a global slowdown in climate venture funding. CGF’s first fund, launched in 2020, supported 19 firms projected to cut 55m tonnes of CO₂e by 2030, including Sunswap, Rendesco and Above.
